About me

I was born and raised in La Paz, Bolivia, and I completed my undergraduate degree in the United States. My shared Bolivian-American roots and my love of travel inspired me to live in different countries as I grew up. I would describe myself as a very determined, empathetic and open-minded person. My greatest passion lies in fighting for gender equality and reproductive justice, which is linked to my career aspirations. In my free time, I enjoy baking.

A clear vision for the future, supported by the Master in International Development

Sabrina Inarra’s career path is clear: she plans to work for an organization specializing in women's development, where she can apply her passion for gender equality and reproductive justice. The Master in International Development at IE University offered her the perfect program to achieve her goals. With the highly focused curriculum and extensive elective options, she can specialize in exactly what interests her most and simultaneously build an international network of contacts in her field.

With her academic and professional background, Sabrina already has a strong foundation of knowledge and skills. Her bachelor’s degree in political science and women and gender studies helped hone her keen interest in gender dynamics. She also interned at both the Texas Equal Access Fund in Fort Worth, Texas, and Pro Mujer in La Paz, Bolivia. These experiences gave her the chance to apply her knowledge to real-world contexts and confirmed her interest in pursuing a further degree.

Her desire to expand her horizons brought Sabrina to Madrid to study at IE University. Beyond the amazing location, she was drawn to the remarkable diversity within the IE Community—a unique characteristic that she said was hard to find in other European universities. The great availability of networking opportunities provided by IE University solidified her decision.

The partnership between IE University and the UN System Staff College was another influencing factor. Through this collaboration, students are offered a comprehensive curriculum and four specialization tracks to choose from, allowing Sabrina to focus on the skills and knowledge that will best suit her career path. Additionally, the program gives students a holistic education in the 5 P’s of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: people, planet, peace, prosperity and partnership.

Overall, Sabrina describes her experience at IE University as life-changing, not only because of the strong connections and friendships she has made, but also for the way the classes have impacted her worldview. She explains that subjects such as Adaptive Leadership and Community Empowerment are helping her grow both on a professional and personal level.

“I have not once regretted my decision to attend the Master in International Development—every day I learn something new and valuable,” Sabrina explains, encouraging anyone considering the program to go for it.
