IE University partners with PwC to enrich student experience in the Master in Applied Economics
The agreement between IE University and PwC will enable students to expand their professional network through various events and projects.
IE University has signed a strategic partnership with PwC Spain to enhance the student learning experience across various academic programs, with a special focus on the Master in Applied Economics. Thanks to this collaboration, IE University students will participate in seminars and workshops and gain hands-on experience through internship programs at PwC. This agreement will expand the students’ network through events and career development projects while personalised mentorship will enable students to apply their knowledge to current global economic issues.
The Master in Applied Economics, which forms part of the IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs’ program portfolio, provides knowledge and tools for analysing global markets and understanding complex economic policies. By combining rigorous research and quantitative analysis, this program enables students to track the latest trends and address critical economic challenges faced by both states and businesses. This comprehensive approach ensures that graduates are equipped to develop careers in economic policy making, strategic consultancy, and the corporate world.
"We are delighted to establish this partnership with PwC Spain. Our students will gain invaluable insights into PwC’s various areas of activity, especially as they transition into the job market and apply the knowledge they acquired at IE University."
Manuel Muñiz, Provost of IE University and Dean of IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs
"This collaboration will also enrich the exposure of our Applied Economics students to specific areas such as auditing, fiscal, and legal advisory services and strategic consultancy," said Manuel Muñiz, Provost of IE University and Dean of IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs.
"Applied economics will play an increasingly important role in addressing both corporate and governmental challenges in the future. For PwC, it is strategic to collaborate with a reputable academic institution like IE University to help develop future leaders."
