The Admission process
IE University’s admissions process is simple yet rigorous—and carried out entirely online. We seek motivated, creative and high-potential candidates who stand out for their academic and/or professional achievements, as well as their interpersonal skills. We take a holistic approach when evaluating each candidate in order to bring the most talented people into our international classrooms. With our rolling admissions process, there’s no application deadline—but spaces are limited, so we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
Tuition
Tuition fees for the dual degree program are determined by each institution for the respective years. IE University sets the tuition for the first year in Madrid, while the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy sets the tuition for the second year in Toronto. IE University offers flexible payment plans and various financial aid programs. The Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy does not normally offer funding to Dual Degree Students who are starting the program in the second year.

Year 2: $19,000 CAD For Domestic Students And $51,420 CAD For International Students**

- Tuition is reviewed on a yearly basis and therefore subject to change.
- Special Conditions for IE Alumni, please contact your admissions advisor for more information.
- To become an IE University student, all IE Community members should make a one-off contribution to the IE Foundation. This is a single payment of €1,200 to be made during the enrollment process.

Tuition fees are set by the University of Toronto each July.  Please note that the fees listed are for one academic year and subject to change before Fall 2025.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The dual degree program at IE University and the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy accepts global applicants who demonstrate academic merit and dedication to international relations. Students interested in pursuing this dual degree should first apply to IE University’s Master in International Relations. If accepted, they can then apply for the dual-degree option.
Once admitted to the Master in International Relations, contact the admissions team for details on applying for this dual program.
APPLICATION FORM
Candidates should complete the sections that appear in the online application form and must also upload the following documents:
ASSESSMENT
Once you have submitted your online application and paid the application fee, you will receive a link to answer three live questions, two in video format and one in written format. This way, our admissions team will be able to meet you virtually and evaluate your capacity to respond in real-time.
EXAM
Take your IE Global Admission Test. You may also submit a GMAT or GRE score.
Interview
You will have a personal interview (face-to-face or via online) with a manager of the Admissions Team.
DECISION
After the interview, your entire application will be evaluated holistically by our Admissions Committee. This is the last step of your application and it will take roughly 1-2 weeks for the Admissions Committee to get back to you with a final decision. Admissions are valid for the intake you apply to and the following one.
