VISIT OF FORMER SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS BAN KI-MOON

Secretary General Ban Ki-moon discussed in a session with students of the MIR and MID programs his vision in developing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda. He placed strong focus on the environment and reshaped the Millennium Development Goals to partner with a sustainable relationship with the climate to produce the SDGs. His tenure was marked by a strong focus on these issues, culminating with the 2015 Paris Agreements on Climate. He is also a champion of women's rights and together with Susana Malcorra, his chief of staff, launched UN Women.
