IE University Launches Catalyst Impact Lecture Series to Decode Tech Trends
The series, in collaboration with the global Catalyst network, features leading faculty from the world’s top universities.
IE School of Science and Technology announced the new Catalyst Impact Lecture Series, launched via the IE Impact Xcelerator in collaboration with Catalyst, a global university network featuring top-tier worldwide faculty.
The series, starting Feb. 2, is designed to decode today’s technology trends to predict future implications for business, research, and policy. The series, limited by spaces, is available to students at all collaborating universities and professionals worldwide. Held every two weeks, the lecture series will kick off with Touchcast founder and CEO Edo Segal, followed by Vectara COO Ed Albanese, Loft Dynamics CEO Fabi Riesen, Kea Founder and CEO Adam Ahmad and a host of others.
The initiative falls under the newly launched umbrella of the IE Impact Xcelerator and a faculty network from IE, Berkeley, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, DTU, Melbourne University, Lund, HBKU Qatar, Prague VSE, and other global institutions. The Impact Xcelerator is hosted by IE University to fill the gap between technology researchers and entrepreneurs and to align industry leaders for global advancement.
“New ventures are the advanced development product labs of today. What they create today will be adopted over the next 5 years,” said Ikhlaq Sidhu, Dean of IE School of Science and Technology, who will lead the series.

The series features high-profile, funded technology ventures speaking about their experience and how they see the capabilities and limits of their technologies and business models. Topics covered include: AI trends and applications, web3, gaming, metaverse, robotic automation, financial services, health technologies, and bio-convergence.
Global participants may attend this free series in person at the IE Tower, the vertical urban campus of IE University in Madrid, or from any point worldwide virtually, with classes recorded for asynchronous attendance. Registration is open now here.
