Sci-Tech Student Participates in Exchange with Imperial College
Scott Lichtenstein is the first Master in Business Analytics and Big Data to take advantage of the new agreement.

Scott Lichtenstein is the first IE student from the Master in Business Analytics and Big Data to participate in the exchange at Imperial College in London, taking advantage of the newly expanded agreement IE University signed with the British university to include students from the School of Science and Technology.

Lichtenstein said he was drawn to the opportunity because it allowed him to study at a highly renowned institution, experience a different academic culture and expand his professional network and create new career opportunities.

“I just started my exchange a few days ago and followed my first class on Wednesday, but thanks to my director Guillermo De Haro and the program management team at Imperial College London, my arrival in London has been very smooth,” he said. “Everyone on the Business Analytics team and my fellow students have been super welcoming.”

Before returning to Madrid in July, he will take three elective courses: Digital Marketing Analytics, Healthcare & Medical Analytics and Data Management & Ethics. He will then complete his capstone project.

Lichtenstein said he expects to miss his IE friends while in London, as well as the Madrid weather, but that he is certain the experience enriches his student journey.

“Being able to experience daily life at two of the most prestigious universities in two of Europe’s largest cities during my one-year master’s program is an incredible opportunity,” he said. “Not only will it provide me with a more diverse learning experience, but it will also allow me to develop new skills and gain valuable international experience.”
