WHAT IS THE RISE EUROPE ALLIANCE?
The Rise Europe Alliance is a community of 20 academic and entrepreneurial institutions working to shape the next generation of European talent.
Launched in 2023, the Rise Europe Alliance unites a strong network of unique voices and diverse mindsets, helping them garner long-term success in a global market and build the future of European tech.
The annual Rise Europe Summit brings top talent, impressive organizations and leading universities together in the name of innovation.
HOW DOES THE RISE EUROPE ALLIANCE WORK?
The Rise Europe Alliance brings together 14 countries and 20 academic and entrepreneurial institutions to create entrepreneurial output. Thanks to its success, the Alliance already accounts for 10% of Europe’s venture capital funding—and there’s always more work to be done.
Representing 32,000 entrepreneurs across Europe, the Alliance is a rich knowledge-sharing community passionate about growing Europe’s startup ecosystem.
By playing on individual organization’s strengths, the Alliance can forge a new culture of entrepreneurship in Europe to tackle some of the world’s most pressing and complex challenges.
Additionally, the Rise Europe Alliance collaborates with European policymakers to drive the growth of startups in Europe. It has also formed a network of Rise Europe ambassadors across different spheres such as the arts, politics, industry and innovation.
WHY IS THE RISE EUROPE ALLIANCE IMPORTANT?
At IE University, we were among the first to place such a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and have long been at the front of the startup ecosystem. The Rise Europe Alliance is an extension of this, positioning IE University as one of the only entrepreneurially driven, rigorous polytechnics.
However, at IE University, we always see the potential for growth and we know huge opportunities await us if we harness the power of data and AI. The Rise Europe Alliance does precisely this and as a result, enables European startups to compete on the global stage.
The number of startups launching in Europe matches the number launching across the pond in the US. Europe is already home to a rich network of startups but through the Rise Europe Alliance, we can take this even further. These startups no longer work in isolation—they form a powerful collective building the next generation of tech champions. We are stronger together and on our way to becoming sustainable global market leaders.
