Empowering Future Financial Leaders: IE's Talent and Careers Hosts Asset and Wealth Management Day
Around 245 IE students attended the event and gained exclusive access to networking and recruitment opportunities.
A-list market leaders, including Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and Blackrock gathered at the IE University’s tower auditorium this week to meet with prospective hires at IE Talent and Careers’s Asset and Wealth Management Day.
With a record-breaking 245 IE students attending the event, IE Talent and Careers presented a high-profile line-up of industry leaders, where companies captivated the student body with interactive panels. This year, more companies attended than in previous years.
Beyond the suits and ties, the packed venue buzzed with excitement as students sought to gain insights and network with some of the world's most prestigious companies through one-on-one cocktail conversations. The lineup included: Amundi, Blackrock, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Pictet, Santander Asset Management.
“The three golden pillars of finance are investment banking, asset and wealth management, as well as global markets. At Talent and Careers we aim to facilitate students with access to opportunities from all three pillars, which is why we create specific events for specific career paths,” said Rodrigo Hurtado, Head of the Master in Finance for Talent and Careers, “We encourage all students to attend finance related events, specifically concerning Asset and Wealth Management Day, as they educate us on managing our wealth and help clarify why it is so important for retirement.”
The Wealth and Asset Management Day fits into IE University's unwavering commitment to fostering excellence in its students and helping them to succeed. Through this event and other similar ones throughout the year, students have the opportunity to be inspired by talented voices and gain valuable insights into their field of interest.
“It is very important that we organize finance events in consideration of recruitment dates, which often end in mid-fall, which is why we want to provide students with these opportunities so early in the semester,” Hurtado further explained.
Students who attended, like Fatima Ezzahra Tajani, a third-year Bachelor of Laws student, applauded the initiative.
“The value that I appreciate the most about IE University is its continuous effort and dedication to give us access to events and to keep us open-minded enough to explore different sectors, even if they are unrelated to our field of study.”
“Although I have already secured my finance internship for the upcoming summer, I am always interested in attending IE events related to our careers as they foster a sense of belonging and confidence in ourselves and our potential as students entering a competitive market.”
