"My career advisor stressed the importance of "being yourself" in the interview. Don’t try to guess what type of person the company likes. They want to see who you really are."

"She was selected as the valedictorian at the graduation ceremony due to her academic excellence and became the first Chinese student ever to receive this honor in Spain. Moreover, at IE, she also excelled among the peers and joined Beta Gamma Sigma for her extraordinary academic performance.

After graduation from IE, she decided to dedicate herself to financial risk management, which is a clear but challenging career direction. She finally got into BBVA’s financial risk department and started her professional journey that she has been longing for."

"My previous job was in Asset & Liability Management consulting. The project that I was assigned was not challenging enough for me, and I wanted a position where I could learn something new, and a place where I could have career development of better quality. That’s why I decided to quit and apply for risk management at BBVA.

I started as Risk Analyst on September 2016, based in Madrid. Risk management at BBVA is of paramount importance. As a risk analyst, with a focus on market risk, I review periodically valuation of market instruments to assure proper measurement of our risk exposures."

"My career strategy has always been focused on risk management, though my geographic and company preferences are wider. It is very important for job seekers to have it clear where our interests lie and what companies we like, always with an open attitude to new opportunities that arise. This helps us to keep being motivated along the tough road of job search."

"I first learned about this opportunity on LinkedIn, then I went to the career website of BBVA to check more detailed requirements. I applied to the job on their career website. As a suggestion, I highly recommend you to follow the career websites of the companies and apply to any opportunity that fits your interests. Do not think about how much probability you have for being selected. Go stage by stage of selection processes. Just keep going and you’ll succeed at some point."

"My Career Advisor Irina Zilbergleyt gave me some advice, among which I would stress the importance of “being yourself” in the interview. Don’t try to guess what type of person the company likes. They want to see who you really are."
