What is the Global Online MBA format?
The Global Online MBA (GOMBA) is offered in a blended format, combining three face-to-face residential weeks in Madrid (one per term) with interactive online sessions held on Saturdays. For students unable to attend the in-person residential weeks, all sessions will be streamed live, allowing for remote participation. As a result, it is possible to complete the program entirely online if needed.
Additionally, the program features an optional international residential week known as the Global Immersion Week. During this week, students visit an international location, engage in corporate visits, and attend sessions at local universities. Students can currently choose between three destinations: San Francisco, Dubai and Shanghai.
The program is available in durations of 18 or 24 months, with intakes in September or March. This flexibility allows you to seamlessly integrate your studies into your professional and personal life.

The blended GOMBA program includes three residential periods in Madrid, strategically designed to maximize your learning and networking opportunities:
First face-to-face period: Kick off the program with an immersive experience that builds foundational skills and fosters collaboration.
Second face-to-face period: Dive deeper into core business concepts with a speaker series and hands-on workshops. Gain experience applying your knowledge to real-world scenarios in our Sustainability Challenge.
Third face-to-face period: Wrap up your journey with advanced leadership training and career management skills, culminating in the Entrepreneurship and Specialization Project. At the same time, you’ll access exclusive networking opportunities with executives from a variety of industries.
For those who can’t make it in person, virtual participation options provide a similarly impactful experience, ensuring you don’t miss out on key moments of connection and learning.
How much time will I dedicate to the program?
The GOMBA classes are delivered over three and a half hours online every Saturday. During the week, you are expected to engage in forum discussions, which provide lots of chances to get involved during time slots available throughout the day. Keeping in touch with your group when working on collaborative assignments is important, too.
On average, students spend between 15 and 25 hours per week on coursework, with the flexibility to adjust based on personal commitments.
Since all students have full-time jobs, the program is designed to help you balance your studies with work, family and other responsibilities. Live sessions, where everyone connects, take place on Saturdays, while throughout the week, students manage their own schedules and engage in asynchronous forums. During exam periods and final projects, additional time may be needed to meet deadlines and achieve the best results.
