At IE University, our 100% online admissions process makes it easier for prospective master’s students to apply from across the world.

In keeping with the entrepreneurial mindset and agile methodologies that characterize our programs, the IE University admissions process is a 100% online system. We strive to offer as much support and assistance as possible to prospective master’s applicants, no matter their specific circumstances.
Admissions process guidance
Our 100% online application process doesn’t mean there’s no help available for those who have difficulties or questions about applying. Indeed, the IE Admissions Department is here to help solve any questions or challenges you may have at any stage of the process. Whether it’s a very specific question about a given program, or just an informal chat, feel free to reach out to them—they are there to help you achieve your goals.
The IE University admissions process comprises four steps.
1. Start application form
Kickstart your online application by filling out the form and uploading your CV, transcripts, diploma, references, and a personal statement in any format that highlights your strengths. Submit proof of English proficiency if required.

2. Admissions test
Applicants must take the IE Global Admissions Test (ieGAT), GMAT, or GRE, with some programs accepting other tests*. Start by completing 25% of the application form and paying the application fee. For more information, click here.

3. Online assessment
After submitting your application, complete a 10-minute virtual assessment with timed questions. This is your chance to showcase your personality, communication skills, and quick-thinking abilities. A practice round is available to help you prepare.
4. Personal interview
After completing your application and all requirements are reviewed, join a personal interview with an Admissions Manager, where you’ll discuss your goals and strengths. Receive the admission decision by email within two weeks.

While the specific requirements for each program will vary, there are some common traits that we’re looking for in prospective master’s students. Our programs are usually full several months before intake. We operate on a rolling admissions process, but it’s advisable to begin the process as early as possible.
