The Executive MBA (EMBA) is a unique program specially designed for mid-career executives with ambitions to lead in the C-suite and beyond. Combining individualized guidance, advanced business theory, leadership development and a parallel series of hands-on Business Sprints, it offers the tools you need to reach the pinnacle of your career.

What is the EMBA program format?

The Executive MBA (English) is a part-time, blended program, which means you get the best of both worlds. You’ll have the convenience of studying online regardless of location, empowered to join classes anywhere in the world. Such flexibility enables you to study while keeping up with your busy schedule and other commitments.

Residential periods complement your learning and offer a chance to interact face-to-face with peers and professors. These residential periods occur in Madrid, but several elements take place in Segovia.

What about teaching methods?

“The EMBA curriculum delivers a combination of online and in-person education.”

We hold in-person sessions during the residential periods in Madrid. You’ll get a traditional classroom experience, with the opportunity to meet and network with diverse classmates, professors and students in other programs.

On the other hand, online sessions run throughout the first, second and third terms of the program, between the in-person sessions. They consist of live video conferences, interactive discussions and asynchronous forums led by our expert faculty. These virtual sessions are an essential extension of your classroom experience; they create a space to ask questions and engage with faculty members and peers.

How do the residential periods work?

The 20-month Executive MBA has two intakes in April and September. It’s split into three terms, each featuring three one-week residential periods in Madrid. So, what will you accomplish in each residential period?

• In Term 1, you’ll master business fundamentals and spend time honing your thinking, behavioral and digital skills—all essential for the leaders of tomorrow.

• In Term 2, challenge yourself to acquire deep insight and crucial practical skills and apply those new competencies in real-world business scenarios.

• Lastly, Term 3 is your chance to explore Madrid and the historic city of Segovia. You’ll also build specialized expertise with mastery tracks and sessions that prepare you for the board room.

What will my program schedule look like?

The Executive MBA’s part-time schedule is designed for busy professionals like you. Its flexibility means you can study without putting your career on hold.

During the working week, you can connect to asynchronous forums at any time through virtual sessions that fit in easily with your professional commitments, social life and family time.

Video conferences are held every Saturday in real-time. You don’t have to take time out of your work week to attend, and with several timeslots available, these sessions won’t interrupt your weekend schedule.

How much time will I dedicate to the program?

On average, we recommend you set aside around 30 hours per week for your studies. How you structure your EMBA schedule and manage your time is up to you. This flexibility is one of the defining features that makes the program attractive to ambitious, busy professionals—and we’re here to provide support that helps you make the most of our blended approach.

However, you’ll have to invest a little more time at the end of every module and during exam periods. The final exam of the program will be held face-to-face in Madrid where afterward, you’ll finish the program celebrating your success at the graduation ceremony.

Immersive and international

Global Immersion Week is a core part of the Executive MBA experience. You’ll visit one of three international business destinations to network and build a global mindset. Meanwhile, Global Network Week allows you to study at another business school from our prestigious international network. And though highly recommended, participation in both is optional.

If you want to connect with top business leaders, our exclusive Executive Spotlight Series is the place to be. Not only is it a source of up-to-the-minute insights into business and tech, but each session is followed by a networking cocktail, enabling you to create valuable connections that could help your career grow.
