Helga Jósepsdóttir

Helga Jósepsdóttir is a creative future strategist specialized in creative solutions and future anticipation through design, strategy, services, products, and experiences. She has completed more than 10 years of work in management and strategic leadership in the fields of innovation, design, and creative education. Jósepsdóttir has aimed to have a positive impact on the world, including the planet, people, society, businesses, and work culture.

Throughout her career, Jósepsdóttir has helped organizations to synthesize what’s happening in the world, and to develop these insights into innovative products and service proposals using creative, agile methodologies of Futures Thinking. She has worked on a variety of international projects with European and North American organizations like IKEA, SPACE10, the Vitra Design Museum, NASA, YouTube, Fjord, the Abu Dhabi Government, The Future Food institute, Marel, Redbull, and Airbus.

Currently the Founder and Director of FRAMTID in Cazorla, Spain, Jósepsdóttir is also a Speculative Futures Lead with Visionalley in Madrid, and a Freelance Futurist for Whattodowithallthisfuture.com. In the past, she was a Creative Future Lead at IED Innovation Lab and We Are FFWD in Madrid. She has also been a Makery Manager at Space 10 and Project Manager at Grasrót Creative Community, both in Denmark.

Jósepsdóttir studied Industrial and Product Design at the Iceland Academy of the Arts and IED Madrid. She earned her master’s degree in Education Development from Háskólinn á Akureyri. Since 2019, Jósepsdóttir has been a Professor of Process and Design Theory at IE University’s School of Architecture and Design in Madrid and Segovia. She previously taught Design and Technology at VMA.
