José Piquer Martínez

José Piquer is Director of the Neurosurgery, Education and Development (NED) Foundation and Associate Professor at IE University. From 2017 to 2021 he was a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) at the University of Cambridge (UK). Previously, he worked as Executive Director at IE University's School of Public and Global Affairs and at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR). His research interests span the disciplines of political science, political economy and European studies. He has published in specialist and generalist journals. His writings have also appeared in English and Spanish media such as The New Statesman, The Monkey Cage (The Washington Post), Política Exterior and Expansión.
