Julio Batista Campilli
Julio Batista Campilli studied in Switzerland and graduated from Yale University in 1982 with a Bachelor of arts in History. He obtained an MBA at the Stanford Graduate school of Business and developed his professional career mainly in strategic consulting and telecommunications, in companies like The Boston Consulting Group, Vodafone and Seeliger y Conde.
He has maintained a strong interest in European History of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with a focus on the literary and musical evolution during that period. He is also knowledgeable of military and naval history, with emphasis on the Roman Republic, the Napoleonic Wars and the first half of the twentieth century.
He began his teaching career in 2016 at the Instituto Petrarca in Madrid, where he teaches history and literature. He currently teaches a course at the IE Business School on Roman culture and leadership during the time of the Republic.
