Laura Zimmermann

Dr. Laura Zimmermann is an Associate Professor of Marketing at IE University’s Business School. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Diplom (combined B.Sc. and M.Sc.) in Psychology from the University of Regensburg. She has also been a Visiting Research Professor at NYU Stern School of Business.

Her research focuses on consumer behavior and the intersection of technology and wellbeing. She investigates the psychological drivers of consumer decision-making and how technology can be leveraged to foster healthier habits and improve quality of life.

Prof. Zimmermann’s work has been published in leading outlets, including the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Experimental Psychology. She serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Business Research. Her research has been supported by competitive funding from institutions such as the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, Meta Research, the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation, the Polsky Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and the Chicago Booth Initiative on Global Markets.

At IE University, Prof. Zimmermann teaches courses in Research Methods and Consumer Behavior. She has previously taught courses on Marketing, Behavioral Decision Making, Decision Analysis, and Attention for High Performance.
