Muktak Tripathi
Muktak K. Tripathi received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Temple University, Fox School of Business. In addition to accounting and finance, he has a computer science, mathematics, and statistics background. His research interests are at the intersection of Management Accounting and Information Systems. He focuses on managerial stewardship roles and the usefulness of information in managerial decisions using innovative methods such as economic production modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning.
His research is published in the Journal of Information Systems (JIS) and Data Envelopment Analysis Journal (DEAJ), funded by the Institute of Management Accountant (IMA), accepted at leading conferences such as American Accounting Association (AAA), French Finance Association (AFFI), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Hawaii Accounting Research Conference (HARC), INFORMS, Production and Operations Management Society (POMS). Moreover, he was awarded the Cochran Award for Excellence in Research at Temple University.
He serves as a discussant at leading research conferences in accounting, operations, and information systems and an ad-hoc referee for the European Journal of Operations Research (EJOR), Journal of Information Systems (JIS), Management Science (MS), Review of Accounting Studies (RAST), and Transportation Science (TS).
