Víctor Gallego Alcalá

Víctor Gallego Alcalá holds a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research since 2021 from UCM and UPM. His research interests focus on deep learning, and particular topics such as multi-modal models, large-scale Bayesian inference and adversarial machine learning. He has published numerous papers in high impact journals and international conferences on the above topics. He has been a researcher at ICMAT from 2017 to 2021, and has been a visiting researcher at Duke University and SAMSI during 2019. In addition, he has a hybrid background in both mathematics and computer science.

In terms of contributions to society and industry, he has participated in several technology transfer projects, and is currently co-founder of a start-up dedicated to artificial intelligence.

He has been assistant professor of several courses at UCM, and is currently adjunct professor at IE University and MIOTI Business School, teaching subjects related to programming and machine learning.
