IE University celebrates IE Creativity Day 2025 in Segovia

Organized by IE Campus Life within the framework of IE Happiness Week, the university’s Creativity Center has prepared a program of activities open to all, encouraging innovation based on divergent thinking.

IE University has celebrated IE Creativity Day 2025 at the IE Creativity Center, located in the historic Royal Mint of Segovia. This annual event, open to the public, which is part of the Happiness Week coordinated by the IE Center for Health & Well-being, has established itself as a benchmark in creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. Creativity Day brings together students, practitioners, and experts from various fields to foster divergent thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration.

IE University celebrates IE Creativity Day 2025 in Segovia

Under the title '(Fr)Agility', this year's edition, organized by IE Campus Life, highlights "the human capacity to integrate weaknesses as a prelude to the empowerment generated by self-knowledge." 

The Creativity Day inauguration was attended by Silvia Estévez Touriño, CEO and Founder of SÜMASET, who gave a lecture on the IE University campus on leadership and well-being, coordinated by Alicia Sonlleva, from Segovia’s Central Market.

The IE Creativity Center in Segovia has also hosted a program of activities open to residents and visitors to the Unesco World Heritage city, including workshops and performances, along with exhibitions and masterclasses.

 Among them, the following events have been held:

Laboratories and workshops such as the presentation on Power and Vulnerability by Balvinder Singh Powar, or the Art and Self-Knowledge workshop by the local residents Fernández Hurtado and María de Andrés "Science and the Arts: An Open Dialogue".

Shows and performances include a theatrical happening directed by the Argentinean director, playwright and actress Natalia Barraza, as well as a live performance by the Segovia-based Canadian rapper Rel McCoy.

Art and exhibitions such as the exhibition "Living Outside of Time" by IE School of Architecture & Design, or the painting of a community mural by the IE Arts Club.

Music and dance, with piano concerts, belly dancing classes and a swing masterclass.

Gastronomy and well-being, with a tapas contest featuring local restaurants Casa Comala, Hola Empas, Pasapán, Fonda Juan Bravo, Rosa Mexicano, along with other gastronomic initiatives in the city, as well as yoga and self-care sessions.

The IE Creativity Center is dedicated to creative expression and the development of innovative ideas. Its goal is to provide an inspiring environment for the IE University community and all those interested in developing creativity.

Juan Carlos Redondo, director of the IE Creativity Center, explains, Creativity Day is an opportunity to explore new ways of working, find innovative solutions and connect with other creative minds:  "This edition of Creativity Day reaffirms our commitment to innovation and diversity of thought.  Fr(Agility) invites us to reflect on the ability to reinvent ourselves and transform challenges into opportunities. We want this event to be a space of inspiration and collaboration for everyone."
