IE University, organized a unique lecture on high performance computers.

The Supercomputing Center of Castilla and León is a “key tool” for developing companies´ R&D and the region´s universities. In was with this idea that Carlos Redondo Gil, Director in charge of Science at the Supercomputing Center of the Castilla y León region, gave a speech at IE University that gathered all experts from Spain. Dr. Redondo Gil intervention allowed all members to share the latest results in high performance computing.

The course demonstrated the characteristics of the “Caléndula”, a supercomputer linked to another 340 powerful computers that enable extraordinary calculations. It is the second most powerful computer in Spain. This event was part of the Science Week 2009 and took place and the Segovia-based University of IE.
