IE University has worked together with women leaders from business and government to organize the Global Summit of Women 2024, a global impact summit chaired by Irene Natividad, held for the first time in Madrid, and that closed on Satuarday. The three-day event, organized under the patronage of H.R.H. As part of the event, IE University organized the Youth Forum, which was attended by 400 Spanish students who shared their views on the challenges facing women, key trends and opportunities for professional growth. In addition, IE University has selected 25 young people who have received a scholarship to attend the Summit’s debates and conferences.

Powerhouse of knowledge
Describing IE University as a "powerhouse of knowledge," Hurtado de Mendoza highlighted the institution’s commitment to community-building and creating opportunities to connect: "These are key drivers in catapulting women to success. Whatever their envisioned career path, we enable women to make the crucial connections they need to thrive. We offer women academic programs and courses that equip them with the specific knowledge and skills they need to excel in any roles and industry. We are here to create a unique space where women can meet new people, exchange advice and expertise, compare experiences, and come away with the motivation, support and insight to carve their unique path towards success.”"
Global Summit of Women
The Global Summit of Women was conceived in 1990 as a nexus for the public, private and nonprofit sectors to come together under the common vision of dramatically expanding women's economic opportunities globally through exchanges of working solutions and creative strategies forged by women leaders in different parts of the world.
This global summit, known as the 'Women's Davos', is an annual meeting point for women leaders in the public, private and NGO sectors, promoting development in the economic, social and political spheres. Among its objectives, the Summit works to improve the situation of women, accelerate their access to leadership positions, promote opportunities for economic growth, research and the exchange of best practices worldwide.
