IE University recognizes faculty excellence with collaborative art performance

Annual Faculty Awards acknowledge the work of IE University teachers in educating students from 160 countries.

IE University has held the 2024 Faculty Awards with a ceremony attended by the institution’s teaching staff, recognizing their educational excellence and research work with students from 160 countries.

As is the custom, the highlight of the Faculty Awards ceremony was an artistic performance. This year’s was a collaborative event representing the educational journey. Bringing together music and painting, a work was created in real time inspired by each of IE University's six schools to an aural backdrop of a specially composed violin piece, reflecting the academic institution's commitment to innovation and the humanities.

"In the field of knowledge generation, teachers have faced major social and technological challenges such as environmental sustainability and AI. In addition, in teaching, the use of the most advanced technologies has been combined with a participatory pedagogical approach that has been highly valued by the students," said Salvador Carmona, Rector of IE University.

This year, the academic institution has welcomed 23 new professors with an international profile to the academic faculty, which this year will deliver education to more than 10,000 students of 160 nationalities in Bachelor's, Master's and Executive Education programs at IE Business School, IE School of Science and Technology, IE Law School, IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs,  IE School of Architecture and Design and IE School of Humanities.Â
