The institution kicks off the academic year with 2,000 new undergraduate students in the areas of business, science and technology, architecture, design, economics, law, and global public affairs.

IE University begins the academic year with more than 8,000 students from 140 countries attending undergraduate and graduate programs in business, science and technology, architecture, design, economics, law, and global public affairs at its campuses in Segovia and Madrid. Eighty-one percent of the students are international, and 52% are women. The institution welcomed 2,000 new undergraduate students this September. By country, the largest number of international students this year came from France, the United States, Italy, India, Germany, and Mexico.

IE University, a world leader in innovative education, will provide VR and AR (virtual and augmented reality) glasses to all its students, reflecting its commitment to immersive methodologies. In 2023, IE University plans to open campuses in several metaverses such as Roblox and Decentraland, where students will be able to participate in class and attend events and activities in the digital sphere. In addition, IE University and Elysium Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based technology investment fund, have joined forces to create the IE Metaverse Center, the first research and innovation center in the metaverse.

IE University was a pioneer in Europe 20 years ago in the design of online Masters programs and is recognized among the most innovative universities in the world in international rankings. Since then, the institution has developed a unique Liquid Learning methodology that allows students to attend classes in person or connect online to the classroom from any country with the same immersive experience and academic excellence.
