OOGLY: Skincare for a New Generation

Final Project for the Bachelor in Design, Class of 2021.

This project focuses on the creation of a brand identity for Oogly, a skincare brand catering to a new generation of consumers with the belief that regardless of race or gender, skin is universal. As the skincare market continues to grow, brands are having to find new ways to stand out from the crowd. As of 2020, the new generation of consumers, Gen Z, account for 40% of consumers and they are demanding greater transparency and accountability from brands. More emphasis is being placed on purpose-driven brands, a sweeping tendency that seems to be leaving giants in the dust. Despite the overall skincare market becoming more inclusive, this landscape becomes progressively complex and expensive to navigate for newcomers. Oogly was created out of a need for a brand that was inclusive to all races and genders, affordable, while still remaining fundamentally simple in its product offering.Through the development of various brand touch points such as a website, social media, and product packaging, this project aims to redefine the current skincare landscape through the sole belief that skin is universal.
